About Character Counter
Character Counter is simple, online, realtime & free tool to count characters in text. It gives basic as well as some advance insights about the text.
How to use
Just paste the text in input or select a text file to read.
You can use the following settings in Character Counter.
Autosave
When autosave option is checked, the text will be stored in browser storage and will retain even if page is reloaded or browser is closed.
Note: The text is only stored in browser and will be deleted once browser cache is cleared.
Font Size Increase/Decrease
By clicking on two buttons after autosave (Zoom+ & Zoom-), text size in input box can be increased or decreased.
File
Text can be imported from text files. Maximum size of file to process cannot be more than 5MB. Current there is only text file supported that have utf encoding like .txt .json .md or any source code etc. We are planning to add more advance file types like .pdf, .doc in near future.
Clear button
Clears the input box.
Copy button
Copy text that is currently in input box to clipboard.

A: Yes, Character Counter is totally free :)
Q: Can i use the Character Counter offline ?
A: Yes, Install the webapp as PWA by using Add to home or option.
Q: Is it safe to use Character Counter ?
A: Yes, any data related to Character Counter only stored in your browser(if storage required). You can simply clear browser cache to clear all the stored data. We do not store any data on server.
