Random Workout Generator – Build a Ready-to-Follow Exercise Plan
The Random Workout Generator takes the guesswork out of "what should I do at the gym today" by building a complete, ready-to-follow session from a curated exercise database. Pick a workout type, target muscle group, the equipment you have on hand, and a difficulty level, then click Generate for an instant plan with sets, reps, rest periods, and an estimated calorie burn — all computed locally in your browser.
Six Workout Modes
Choose from Strength Training for classic sets-and-reps resistance work, Cardio for steady-effort conditioning, HIIT Circuit for timed high-intensity intervals, Full Body for a balanced session across every muscle group, Bodyweight / No Equipment for home workouts with zero gear, and Yoga / Stretching for a guided flow of held poses that improve flexibility and support recovery. Each mode uses its own structure — sets and reps, timed circuit rounds, or held poses — so the plan always matches the style of training you picked.
Filtered by What You Actually Have
Check off the Equipment you own — dumbbells, a barbell, a kettlebell, resistance bands, a pull-up bar, a bench, a jump rope, or an exercise mat — and the generator only pulls exercises you can actually perform. Leave every box unchecked for a bodyweight-only session. Combine that with a Difficulty Level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced) to control how demanding the sets, reps, and hold times are, and use Exclude Exercises to skip specific movements due to an injury or personal preference.
Sets & Reps, Circuits, or a Held-Pose Flow
Strength, Full Body, and Bodyweight sessions default to a traditional sets x reps structure with a rest period between sets. HIIT and Cardio workouts automatically switch to a timed circuit — work and rest intervals repeated across a number of rounds sized to your requested duration. You can also force any strength-style workout into a circuit with the Circuit / Superset Mode toggle. Yoga and Stretching sessions use a calm flow instead, holding each pose for a set duration with a short transition before the next one.
Calorie Estimate and Session Summary
Every plan comes with a summary showing the total session length (including optional warm-up and cool-down blocks), an estimated calorie burn, the equipment needed, and the muscle groups targeted. Calories are estimated with the standard MET formula — MET x body weight (kg) x duration (hours) — using each exercise's metabolic equivalent. Enter your body weight and preferred unit (kg or lbs) for a single figure, or leave it blank to see a range based on typical adult body weights.
Export and Reuse Your Plan
Once generated, copy the plan straight to your clipboard, download it as a TXT file for printing, export a CSV for spreadsheets and training logs, or share it directly from your phone. Click Regenerate at any time to reroll a fresh selection with the same filters — great for keeping routines varied and avoiding training plateaus without having to reconfigure every setting.
Everything — from exercise selection to the calorie estimate — runs entirely in your browser using a local exercise database, so there's no sign-up, no server round-trip, and nothing about your workout habits ever leaves your device.
